Lula veta o não contingenciamento de recursos para o combate à violência contra as mulheres.Após a conquista no Congresso Nacional (CN) da emenda na Lei de Diretrizes Orçamentárias 2007 que protegia de contingenciamento os recursos destinados ao enfrentamento da violência contra as mulheres, o presidente da república veta esse ponto na Lei. A emenda foi apresentada pelo movimento de mulheres e defendida pela Bancada Feminina no CN já a partir da compreensão que essa medida é fundamental para a garantia da efetivação da Lei Maria da Penha (Lei 11.340) sancionada em 7 de agosto de 2006.

This guide, made possible through the efforts of the Ministry of Health (Mexico), FUNDAR, Equidad de Género and UNIFEM, is meant to provide direction when incorporating gender perspectives in the design and formulation of health sector public policy. Based on knowledge gained from gender budgeting experiences in the Mexican health sector, this tool is made up of five chapters that illustrate various concepts such as the formulation of indicators and strategies for designing gender sensitive policies, recommendations for HIV/AIDS prevention programmes using a gendered approach, as well as the analysis of inequality gaps, among others.
