NEW YORK, March 2012 - The New York Women’s Foundation issued a report on March 21, 2012 regarding the proposed 2012-13 New York State Budget and how it could affect women, as well as families and youth in the State.
The report concludes that New York City’s low-income women and their families have been affected by state budget cuts in many ways, from decreased resources for low-income women seeking to enter the job market, to reduced funding for a wide range of essential support services, including access to child care.
